I have long felt that in choosing watercolour as an introduction to making art, beginners are taking on the most difficult of media. These sessions are designed to give a taste of the alternatives on offer, which some people may find more user-friendly. There are so many exciting materials available to the modern artist; you may find something that really inspires you and brings a sense of achievement. Try out collage, acrylic inks, pen and pastel, creative mixed media and oil pastel just for starters! Bring your own materials if you have them, but there will be plenty available.
