This course focuses on the waterside and its summer plant life. Using drawing pens and artist-quality dry coloured pencils you will learn how to create strong light, deep shade and all the atmospheric qualities associated with water and its surrounding foliage. Inspired by seasonal images, teaching will progress from demonstrations and a step-by-step approach to individual support for your own style. Creative ink and coloured pencil techniques, such as embossing and lifting out, are easy to learn and effective; this is slow art, but relaxing and rewarding in its results.
